Boating on Lake Pleasant AZ
Hey Gary!
Gary has been providing the Boater Guy with a lot of information about Lake Pleasant boating.
They have a place on the water called Humbug Cove where they do there rafting up. I did note there are a lot more folks in the water on Lake Pleasant then on the American River. I’m sure the water is much warmer on Lake Pleasant.
Gary says boating on Lake Pleasant is pretty much a year long event. The winter is a bit different since the Wake-boaters & skiers disappear for the season. It gets chilly at night so we break out the heaters and Irish coffee.
Last October brought our 3rd annual "Docktober-fest". We started it 3-years ago, just a few of us on Dock #4 and now we get people from the other docks asking what they can bring and if they can come over and hang out with us. We'll start the day (Saturday) by going out to Humbug cove and raft up for the day. Then we all get back to the dock at about sunset to get the brats & kraut cooking.
Everyone pretty much brings some sort of obscure German dish for everyone to try. I'll bring down my accordion just for laughs but we have a really good time!
It's just another excuse to party!!
